You then  intake additional calories by eating more simple carbs!

We have also been taught to believe that eating at night will make women gain weight. The truth is that it doesn’t matter what time of day you are eating as long as you are burning more calories than you take in. If some of your daily calories are consumed at night that’s fine.

What truly happens is that when we feel hungry at night just before bedtime, we have already eating dinner.  We are in a rush to get to sleep to prepare for the upcoming work day and are therefore less inclined to prepare another health meal. Eating before bedtime then tends to be unhealthy, high-calorie foods that shoot you above your calorie needs for the day.
